Pastoral counseling, or psychotherapy, is defined as a distinctive form of counseling in which the full resources, theoretical knowledge, and clinical methods of psychology and psychotherapy are brought together with theological method and practice to provide a holistic approach to psychotherapy that honors and integrates the spiritual dimension of each person's life experience. Pamela Cooper-White (2004).
We all face crises, conflicts, doubts, and stressful situations at times in our lives that can feel debilitating and yet can also be an opportunity to journey within ourselves. Individuals can find deeper meaning, strength and resolution within themselves and in life as they search, recognize and attend to the forces and complexes that structure their experience.

I have extensive education, training and practice in doing psychodynamic psychotherapy, a model of therapy that addresses the conscious and unconscious dynamics within the individual and the therapy process. I also have a special interest in feminist theory and psychotherapy; being attentive to the social, political and cultural forces at work in the lives of women and men. My theological formation continues to inform my understanding of spirituality, the human condition and the impact that religious heritage has.
